DALIA STASEVSKA TO BECOME CHIEF CONDUCTOR OF THE LAHTI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA FROM THE 2021/22 SEASON

Dalia Stasevska has been appointed Chief Conductor to the Lahti Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director to the International Sibelius Festival from Autumn 2021 for a tenure of three seasons. Dalia also holds the position of Principal Guest Conductor to the BBC Symphony Orchestra.​“For me, the Lahti Symphony Orchestra has long held a very special position”, says Dalia Stasevska. ​“In Lahti there’s a tremendous amount of potential; the Orchestra’s players are inspired, they are minded to do great things and open to a wide range of repertoire and ideas.
